As being eco-conscious and green becomes more trendy, company after company starts claiming that their merchandise is completely Earth friendly, that everything is recycled, blah blah blah. But, how can you really know if what you wear is helping our world? Right, you can't. It's too big of a job to research every company you buy from, and you just buy what you like and can afford. I'm the first to admit that I'm not at all good about buying things to help, not harm, our home, and I should be much more aware of it. That's why Organic Fiber Apparel, a website selling only Earth-friendly clothing at reasonable prices, which also happens to have a very straightforward name, is such a simple thing that will help so many shoppers! Everything is in one place, so if you feel strongly about shopping for the planet, you can go and just buy everything that interests you without even thinking if it is good for the environment. For most people, they don't know who to really trust and want proof that it really is organic or recycled, and OFA has a Social Accountability Statement that includes their stance on safe and healthy workplaces, child labor, forced or compulsory labor, disciplinary practices, discriminatory practices, working hours and overtime, fair wages, environmental impact, and US compliance. You can buy organic, eco-fiber, or recycled- really, how much easier could it get?! Oh, and maybe I forgot to mention they have some great pieces, including some American Apparel basics. The one problem I have with the site is the lack of variety, but I believe it will becomes more built up and positively popular, so that could very well improve soon!
