I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to interview Beka from reLyme.com. Read about her influences, why she blogs, and her favorite accessories.

Describe your style in one word.
I've got two. Casual/classic meets girly/vintage. In other words, I like vintage-inspired dresses and accessories, but sometimes, I like to just wear a t-shirt with leggings and Chucks.
Who are your ultimate style icons?
Ashley Olsen, Zooey Deschanel, Audrey Hepburn (of course), Stella McCartney, Zac Posen, Katie Holmes post-Tom, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Gwyneth Paltrow...to name a few.
If you could pick one accessory to wear, what would it be?
I usually only wear one accessory at a time. Keep it simple. It could be anything from a cute headband or vintage necklace, to a pair of gaudy earrings or an interesting ring.
What is your earliest memory of fashion?
When I was 10, my mom let me pick my own magazine subscriptions. One that I chose was Seventeen. I'll never forget it. Luke Perry was on the cover. And within its pages, I witnessed my first exposure to editorial fashion. It was love from then on. Plus, my mom had a closet full of sweet seventies gear.
What was your first taste of the online fashion blogging community, and when/why/how did you first get involved?
Fashion blogging found me, really. I started blogging in 2001, and have blogged in one form or another since then. I really don't know how I got into fashion blogging, to be honest. I started my blog, reLYME, in June 2008. Believe it or not, I didn't realize fashion blogging was a genre at that point. I was just writing about something I'd loved. Shortly after, I joined Coutorture and IFB, and the rest was history.
If you had to wear one outfit for the rest of your life, what would it be (comfort and changing trends aside)?
This may sound weird, but I hate pants. I don't like jeans. I own them. I occasionally wear them, but I think they're so uncomfortable. I'd rather wear dresses. I feel more comfortable in a dress, a cotton spring or summer dress. When I lived in Florida, I wore dresses year round. (This NY weather is killing me for that reason!)
Do you prefer browsing personal style blogs, or more general fashion blogs, like yours? Why did you choose to create your genre of blog?
A little of both. I always head to the big sites like Style.com for my main source of info for all things fashion, but I like to read what my fellow bloggers have to say as well.
Do you work outside of the virtual blogosphere? What do you do?
After a few career changes, I currently work in Fashion and Beauty Social Media. I also freelance from time to time.

What types of posts are your favorites to do, and what posts do your readers love the most?
I like posts that show the human side behind bloggers. Even if it's inserting a quick comment about a blogger's opinion in posts. I just like to get to know the face behind the brand. My most popular posts have typically been posts where I sort of trash a trend, and beg to know if others like it.
She also interviewed me! To see it, go here.
