throw it at me

Keffiyahs.

Yes, or NONONO?

When I was in Europe last spring, the trend was blooming here, and everyone in Italy was wearing one. My brother and I combined bought 3- red, blue, and one with skulls. I wore each no more than twice. I do like the way they look sometimes, but I think it's a little too hipster for me and very controversial.

All taken last year, which explains the badness of the whole thing- the outfits, the poses, the photography (which still needs work). I haven't worn any of my keffiyahs this year, though I have worn a lot of "normal" scarves!

Readers, what do you think? Are these scarves an old trend? A great trend? A politically incorrect and inconsiderate trend? I want to know your opinions! Share!

I think the keffiyeh is dead :(. Killed by the hipsters. They wore it throughout the summer and now it's winter and time to wear real scarves. It feels like it needs to be retired, unless it's one of those fullbody keffiyehs that you gotta hold in place with a large pin.

I'm pretty sure the PLO killed the keffiyeh
It was fine to wear it until they went and basically made it an official symbol of their movement
now you can't wear one without condoning terrorism

I totally agree that the trend is dead although I stubbornly continue wearing mine as I wore it already since 11 class (which was around 2002) and I just love it!
I think if you like the thing just wear it f*** the trend! and that coming from me who is a absolute fashion victim!
Oh and I forgot to introduce myself I am a new reader to your blog

Rocking a scarf with the scraggly (is that word?) fringe fabric - not my style. Wearing a full pashmina scarf that compliments your outifit - that's the ticket!
