How adorable is this?
I was casted as Lydia, the flirty and headstrong slut, in Pride and Prejudice at my school! My best friends are all Elizabeth, Darcy, Jane, and Charlotte; it should be so much fun. I'm also in charge of costumes, and I don't really know where to start. To tell the truth, I haven't even seen the movie, but I know a little bit from reading some of the script. My friend who plays Elizabeth is also the producer, so she has been giving me some instructions. Today she asked me to make the "ruffly things for the guys." I don't know what that even is (is it the neck wear?), or how to make it, but I do know to make ruffles I just do some ruching. I need to do some research! If anyone knows what she is talking about, please tell me!
Anyways, I've been looking for some screen shots from the movie for ideas and inspiration, but I can't find any! I would appreciate some help on this front, also. Thanks, lovelies.

I'm sorry dear that I can't help you. Being a no English native and having English as a second language many times I don't understand the meaning that's behind an expression :(
Hope some English native will help you with that kind of "slang"

Oh, and congratulations for being in the play and "breack a leg" ;)
xx
Aww sounds like lots of fun! Good luck with it, but for inspiration, I think you'd better go and rent the movie (I loved the movie ^-^) You'll have a better image of how they dressed like I think...
Congratulations! I bet it will be mad fun.
Ah! My name's Lydia! I'm sure you'll do the part justice! Congrats.
And in response to your comment from a bit a go, I won't be cutting off too much hair. Just the bangs probably for they need some serious maintenance. Thank you for the compliments though!
Does she mean cravats...?
